12th September 2018.

There are important changes to the flu vaccination programme for adults this year.

People aged 65 and over will be given a different vaccine this year that gives better immunity to people in that age group. Across the entire country the delivery of this vaccine to General Practice  is being phased over 7 weeks and we are prioritising our patients by age starting with the oldest group (78+ years old ) first.

If you are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine you will be sent an invitation letter explaining the date of the community clinic appropriate for your age banding. Please read our news letter to find out more about how to access our clinics.

In order to help us manage the call volumes at this busy time of year please don't call us about the flu vaccines unless you have read our information newsletter first.

Thanks to all our patients for their support and understanding while we deliver this vital public health programme.
